Women of Kutch

I have always been intrigued by the beautiful and enchanting women of Kutch. For all those that are not aware, Kutch is a district in Gujarat, West India where generations of Banni or Nomad communities live. They have a very unique sense of dressing and live in circular mud houses called Bhungas which are heavily decorated from inside and out using objects like mirrors. These Kutchi nomads are very creative and it is very common to see the women sitting outside their homes doing embroidery and making quilts, bags and other household items.

Needless to say I am always adding more experiences and places to the list.

    Visiting rann of kutch is one of the most important thing on my bucket list. I hope I could meet these people one day!
